Flight of the Flamingo

This is one of the miracles of nature. At least 10,000 flamingoes flew by the house going east. We have seen them several times and every time they go by we are awed again and again. There were so many that it took them at least 15 minutes to fly by, enough time for our neighbors to the west to call us, and for us to call our neighbors to the east. Just magnificent!

Wow, that many! Amazing. Reminds me of the flocks of monarch butterflies we used to watch fly by in the fall. Not that many left anymore, but there used to be huuuuuuuge clouds of them. Kind of like the flamingos. Very cool.
