These are flamboyan trees and right now they are flowering everywhere. They are an intense shade of orange-red and have a little yellow part that gives the flowers depth. There is even a town named Flamboyan on the way to Merida. They are beautiful trees and they grow wild so they don't sell them at the nurseries. The ones that I see are too darn big to dig up! They are gorgeous though, and I want one for the coconut plantation in the yard.
