. Despite the language barrier; our Russian being much worse than her English, we all had a great time and were able to communicate in the international language of craft. Above Star's head is a great mobile Lia just threw together from a bunch of shells and other beach crap! As Nancy said, "She's good!" It was pretty nice to share with all the girls. Next week we go to the market in Merida to snoop around and go to the bead stores in town.

Thursday is makin' stuff day
It's another Thursday at the Casa de Paci and we are making a fine mess and having a wonderful time. The usual suspects from left to right are Star, Lia and Nancy. Star and Nancy live in Chelem, the next little hamlet east of Chuburna, where I live. Lia is from the Netherlands, by way of Russia, and rented the house next door with her husband Misha
