Ok, this is what we do in Mexico on Palm Sunday! We all went to a drag queen show at a local restaurant run by a couple of gay guys. We thought that it would be suicidal for them to do this, but it turned out that it is very accepted by the local Mexicans and they attend in droves bringing everyone in the family, including 2 year olds and grandparents. Of course, there were quite a few borrachos (drunks) but what do expect when Diana Ross and company are singing to you!One mexican guy kept yelling 'Miss Universe" over and over again to Diana Ross. It was very amusing and kind of an eye-opener. The little girl in the pictures was enchanted by Diana Ross, who bent down and sang directly to her. The singer in the aqua top, who was supposed to be Yvonne Ortega was my favorite. The looks on the faces of the adolescent kids was absolutely priceless. Anyway, there is supposed to be another show today, Easter Sunday. They take this sort of thing seriously!
